On Friday 10th November 2023, nine LBTS students from across the school attended the Children's Rights Inquiry at Parliament. The event was managed by the Children and Young Londoners team at the Greater London Authority (GLA). It was a youth led event,  run by the Link Up Crew (LUC) who are aged between 7-15 and are young advisers to the Mayor.

Its members contribute to shaping policy and represent the often-unheard voices of young Londoners.

The purpose of the Inquiry was to try and find ways to improve children and young people’s
lives, fact find and highlight the great work going on in and around London. The main focus was on the topics Environment & Climate, Racism & Discrimination and Mental
Health, with a strong focus on Free School Meals and its significance to a child’s wellbeing.
