Upcoming training for parents:
Lambeth Council’s Early Years and Parenting Service has a comprehensive offer of evidence-based parenting courses, to see the full offer visit Parenting Support Service | Lambeth Council.
We would like to further promote our ‘Stronger Relationships’ course that is delivered by our partner, Race Equality Foundation. We would like to encourage Lambeth parents to take up the offer of free places on their 6-week online, inclusive, and evidence-based 'Stronger Relationships' course. The course is aimed at parents of children aged 0 to 18 who are living with their co-parent or apart, are single parents, or living with extended family or in blended stepfamilies. This culturally attuned course aims to give parents the information, techniques, and skills needed to:
- Raise happy, healthy children.
- Cope better with the stresses of family life
- Improve communication with their co-parent or other carers around their child including teachers!
- Work through differences in parenting values in a solution-focused way
We have found that parents' interest has been engaged when the information has been publicised by schools. We ask that you to share the attached flyer with parents together with the Stronger Relationships promotional video and the text below.
Stronger Relationships online course
Lambeth Council has partnered with Race Equality Foundation to offer Lambeth parents free places on their 6-week online, inclusive, and evidence-based 'Stronger Relationships' course. Please take a look at this short video and the attached flyer for more information and how to sign up.
The Stronger Relationships course looks at how we cope with stress and gives techniques to show our children the way to work through everyday life problems (including getting their homework done!) with positive and respectful communication. Expert support is given in hour-long online group discussions which are offered at times to suit parents' busy lives, from 10 am to 7 pm; just choose the group time that works for you when you sign up. Please take advantage of this free and confidential course!
