The Y10 students created an AMAZING stall at Borough market. They sold and marketed a soup that they had made, raising £152 for Fareshare charity.

Columnist, chef and food writer Xanthe Clay said: “The soups made by the students were all delicious – we had a tough time choosing a winning soup as so much had gone into each one, but the deep flavoured, satisfying Caldo Verde was irresistible. This scheme combining cooking skills, reducing waste, and business know-how alongside supporting food poverty NGOs, really engaged the students on so many levels”

With thanks to:-

· Rio and Trystan who made the winning soup

· April and Haifa who took to the airways to promote the soup on London Live and Good Morning Britain

· Dylan and Ibrahim who costed the soup ingredients ensuring a profit was made

· Blessing who created marketing and promotional materials

· Trystan, Hedigildo , Rio, Kristal, Haifa and Saron who attended the initial training day and were the breadmaking experts.
