9th December - London Philharmonic Orchestra Trip at the Royal Festival Hall

The Y10 GCSE Music students and a selected few Y9 students had a fabulous trip to the Royal Festival Hall to hear the London Philharmonic Orchestra play and explain the GCSE Music pieces they might hear in their exam. Each piece was broken down to bite size pieces and musical terminology explained by playing short extracts of the music before they listened to the whole piece. Whilst they were listening to the orchestra play the full composition students had to complete a quiz about what they could hear. Huge shout out to Tyrese in Y9 who got over 75% of the questions right, even when some of the knowledge was Y11 questions!!
