Goldsmiths Music Creative Project Day Trip
BackTuesday 6th February saw our Music creative project Year 8 group head to Goldsmith’s University to have lectures and workshops in “Careers in the Music Industry” and “Synthesisers”.
Their first lecture on careers was from the world renowned Dr Berta Joncus who is a music scholar, journalist, BBC Critic and project consultant. Students were able to ask Dr Joncus on how they would enter the music industry, what types of careers there are in the music industry and also her personal music career.
Students were then able to explore the world of synthesisers and how to create their own unique sounds using music technology.
Students were even able to explore the exact synthesiser that the BBC used to create the Doctor Who Theme tune.
Thank you to Goldsmith’s University and their staff for a brilliant tour and workshops for the students of LBTS.
