Behaviour, Attendance & Welfare

Back

We have strong and effective behaviour and rewards policy which is very popular with students and staff. It encourages very high standards of behaviour inside and outside the school. Parents are informed immediately if we have any concerns.

Students receive house points for good work and behaviour and these can be cashed in for prizes such as cinema tickets and gift vouchers. Golden Tickets are also awarded to 2-4 students each lesson, which are then entered into a weekly raffle draw.

Behaviour Stages

At LBTS we have very high standards for all, which is reflected in our calm and productive learning environment. We achieve this by rewarding positive behaviours and acknowledging our students’ high achievements.

However, occasionally a student may need to be guided more closely into behaving in a positive manner. This is to ensure that they are academically successful, as well as ensuring their behaviour does not impact on the achievement of others.

Our behaviour policy follows a stage system which is detailed below.  At each stage, the aim of the policy is to support students so they become more reflective, and are able to develop and use strategies in order to improve their behaviour.
