Re: OfSTED Outcome

As you are aware, on 22nd and 23rd February 2023, LBTS was inspected by OfSTED. This was the school’s first graded inspection since we were graded as Outstanding in 2013. As you may also be aware, changes to the OfSTED inspection framework to raise standards has resulted in many schools that were previously graded as Outstanding being re-graded in their recent inspections as Good.

However, we have similarly raised standards at LBTS over the last 2 years, in order to ensure your child gets the best possible education and support. As such, I am very pleased to inform you that we have been graded as Outstanding once again.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank teachers, support staff, students and families for all the hard work you do every day, which makes LBTS such an amazing school to be part of. I enclose the final OfSTED report with this letter, which is a real testament to all this hard work and commitment.

I am incredibly honoured and privileged to be the Headteacher of the most wonderful school community!
