Course Outline 

Applied Law is an exciting course that aims to provide you with a coherent introduction to study of the legal sector. The programme enables you to investigate aspects of criminal law and the legal system, learn how legal disputes are solved and how to apply the law. It is an Extended Certificate equivalent to 1 A Level.

• Dispute Solving in the Legal System

• Investigating Aspects of Criminal Law and the Legal System

• Applying the Law

• Aspects of Tort

Assessment

On-going assessment will take place during the year and you will be assessed by directed study, class tests and assessments at key times throughout the year.

This qualification prepares students for a wide range of careers including; Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, Legal Clerk, Paralegal, Barristers’ Clerk

Legal Assistant, Court Reporter etc.
