At LBTS we constantly review the curriculum in order to ensure that our students have access to the most relevant courses available. We have recently introduced Y7 and Y8 numeracy catch up, GCSE French and GCSE Computer Science. In the 6 Form we have recently introduced media and Health and Social Care

KEY STAGE 3 (Y789)

All students follow the National Curriculum in:

Art
Citizenship, Relationships and Sex Education/Health Education (we call this LBTS5)
Computer Science
Design Technology: Food
Design Technology: Resistant Materials
Drama
English
Geography
History
Maths
Music
Physical Education
Religious Studies
Science
Spanish

All students can also opt for individual or group instrumental lessons at no charge. Students can also choose to study Arabic, French, Mandarin, and Portuguese at KS3.

KEY STAGE 4 (10 and 11)

All students follow a common curriculum in:

GCSE English and GCSE English Literature

GCSE Mathematics

GCSE Double Science (2 GCSEs) or GCSE Separate Sciences in Biology, Chemistry and Physics (3 GCSEs)

Citizenship, Relationships and Sex Education/Health Education (we call this LBTS5)

Physical Education

GCSE Religious Studies

In addition to these compulsory subjects students can choose up to 4 of the following option subjects. The school offers:
