Y8 SECURE £30,000 TO GET ON THEIR BIKE!
As part of their Humanities lessons Y8 investigated their local community. One group came up with the idea of a "cycle hub" where young people can get free bicycle repairs, maintenance, proficiency lessons and local rides. The students then teamed up with allies from their community and have secured a whopping £30,000 from TFL to make their Cycle Hub dream a reality!
YEAR 8 MUSIC TRIP
On Friday 29 January a small group of our music students were lucky enough to be the only school invited to watch the Berlin Staatskapelle (State Orchestra) rehearse at the Royal Festival Hall. The orchestra featured Daniel Barenboim on piano who is considered to be one of the greatest pianists of the 20th and 21st centuries!
