This year LBTS was given the opportunity to participate in it's first ever Guinness Book of Records attempt. With the help of the BBC and 300 schools across the country, students from year 7 were given the opportunity to participate in the record attempt for the world’s largest interactive weather report. All the temperatures have been logged so now it's time to wait for the official results!
YEAR 7 PROJECT DAY
As part of a recent Project Day Y7 created presents and cards for Valentines Day which they then sold to each other at the LBTS Craft Fair. Pictured above are 2 students, a plan for an advert and a very gorgeous card.
CREATIVE ARTS SHOWCASE
Throughout the Autumn term Year 7 have been working hard on their DT and Creative Arts topic of Identity. The students celebrated all their hard work on the topic at a recent showcase event.
The showcase included singing, drumming, keyboards and percussion. Students also displayed their art work, performed a play, gave speeches on what they had been creating in Resistant Materials and Textiles and tasted some delicious cookies!
